Data Protection Officer and contact

If you have any questions on the processing of your data in the context of this Privacy Notification, you may reach out to our Data Protection Officer under datenschutz@lssport.eu.

Which personal data is collected?

The following personal data about you will be processed by the EURO 2024 GmbH, when you visit the Volunteer Website:

Device information (browser, access provider), identity information (shortened IP address, Referrer-URL, access time, digital accessibility settings, if any).

No legal obligation to provide the data

You are entirely free to visit the Volunteer Website. However, if you refuse to provide personal data, you will not be able to properly use the Volunteer Website.

How are these data processed and why?

Your personal data you provide when you visit the Volunteer Website are necessary to technically run the website, provide you with the necessary functions and stability and to provide you with the possibility to use digital accessibility support on the website. The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest with regard to these website functions according to Article 6 (1) lit. f of the GDPR.

We implemented an Instagram plug-in on the Volunteer Website (identified by a respective button with the Instagram logo). Only when you give your consent to activate the plug-in (e.g. by clicking the respective button), a direct connection to the server of Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland, “Meta”) is established (Article 6 (1) lit. a of the GDPR). As soon as you activate the plug-in, Meta receives the information that you have visited the Volunteer Website with your IP address.

If you are logged in to Instagram as a user, Meta is further able to track that you have visited Instagram via plug-in and how you have used it. This data can be used by Meta to offer content or advertising tailored to you. The data collected about you in this context is processed by Meta and may be transferred to countries outside the European Union. If you wish to avoid this, you can log out of Instagram or deactivate the “stay logged in” function, delete the cookies present on your device and close and restart your browser. This allows you to use Instagram without revealing your Instagram identifier.

Who are the recipients of the personal data?

You acknowledge that we use Kreativoli Werbeagentur, Altstadt 195 (Ainmillerhaus), 84028 Landshut, for hosting the Volunteer Website, acting as data processor with regard to your data provided at the Volunteer Website.

We also use the tool “Eye-Able” (digital accessibility tool) technically provided by Web Inclusion GmbH, Gartenstraße 12c, 97276 Margetshöchheim, also acting as data processor in this context.

How to assert your rights?

In addition, if we as the controller process personal data, you as the data subject have certain rights under Chapter III of the GDPR, depending on the legal basis and the purpose of the processing, in particular the right of access (Article 15 of the GDPR) and the rights to rectification (Article 16 of the GDPR), erasure (Article 17 of the GDPR), restriction of processing (Article 18 of the GDPR), and data portability (Article 20 of the GDPR), as well as the right to object (Article 21 of the GDPR).

If the personal data is processed with your consent, you have the right to withdraw this consent under Article 7 (3) of the GDPR.

How long are your personal data stored?

All personal data will be deleted if it is no longer required for the purposes it was collected for unless you have explicitly consented to a longer period of storage or the EURO 2024 GmbH is entitled or obliged to store the data for a longer period due to legal requirements.

We delete personal data you provided while visiting the Volunteer Website automatically after three months.
